Eunice High improved its overall record to 9-6 with a 13-3 victory over Carencro in baseball action at Bobcat Field.
The Bobcats took an early lead to support starting pitcher Ian George, who allowed just two runs over five innings of work before Tyler Darbonne relieved him in the top of the sixth.
The Bobcat offense gave both pitchers all the support they needed, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning and scoring four more in the third inning.
Luke Andrepont singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch in the first inning.
Austin Phillips advanced Andrepont on a sacrifice bunt and Andrepont scored when Josh Youngblood reached safely on an error.
Youngblood later scored on a single by Darbonne to give the Bobcats a 2-0 lead.
The Bears got one of the runs back in the second inning when Trey Perry doubled with one out.
Perry later scored on a single by Zach Boyer before George retired the side.
The Bobcats responded with a four-run third inning.
Andrepont singled and stole second base to open the inning.
With one out, Youngblood singled to score Andrepont before Darbonne drew a walk.
Jayden Brasseaux doubled home one run before Grant Fontenot’s sacrifice fly plated another run.
Seth Venable singled home a run, giving the Cats a 6-0 lead.
George retired the side in order in the top of the fourth and the Cats responded by scoring two runs to extend their lead. Darbonne drove in two runs with a triple, scoring George and Phillips to give the Cats a 9-2 advantage.
The Bears added single runs in the fifth and sixth, but the Cats scored two runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to end the game at 13-3. Brasseaux doubled and Fontenot tripled to highlight the sixth inning.
George earned the win with five innings of work. He scattered five hits, walked three and allowed just two earned runs.
Darbonne allowed one hit, walked two and struck out one in one inning.
