The Bobcats remained undefeated on the season as Eunice High celebrared homecoming with a 36-14 victory over the Rayne Wolves.
The Wolves an early 7-0 lead as they received the opening kickoff and drove down the field behind running of John Daigle and Darion Senegal.
Senegal crossed the Bobcat goal line with a 23-yard run for a touchdown.
Eunice High head coach Paul Trosclair was worried a bit about the early score, especially since the Bobcats were able to pracitice outside only one day during the week.
But the Bobcat offense quickly over came the early touchdown with a 12-play drive that started on their own 32-yard line and ended with a touchdown of their own.
The key plays of the drive were a 13-yard run by Deon Ardoin and a 34-yard touchdown on a pass from Simeon Ardoin to Traelyn Cooper.
The PAT attempt failed, but the Cats had cut the lead to 7-6 with 5:03 left in the opening quarter.
The Wolves received the kickoff, but a fumble and pass interference by the Wolves hindered the possession and opened the door for the Bobcat offense.
With 3:47 left in the first quarter, Deon Ardoin ran three yards for a touchdown to give the Cats the lead.
The PAT kick failed, but the Bobcats would regain possession two plays later and quarterback Simeon Ardoin completed a pass to Tyler Darbonne, who finished the 49-yard touchdown play.
The Cats again were unable to convert the PAT kick, but claimed a 14-6 lead as a result of the touchdown.
Another fumble by the Wolves gave the Cats a chance to build their lead and Deon Ardoin made it happen with a six-yard touchdown run with 1:07 left on the clock.
The Cats converted their two-point convversion on a Simeon Ardoin pass to Jordan Ledet to extend their lead to as time ran out in the opening quarter.
The Cats continued to be aggressive on the opening play of the second quarter as Avery Lee got off a 10-yard run, but the Wolves regained possession and attempted to attack the Eunice defensive unit.
But the Bobcat defense came up with a big play when junior Jordan Oglesby batted an attempted pass on third down to force a punt by the Wolves. After the punt, Deon Ardoin broke free on a 47-yard run before being tackled at the two-yard line of the Wolves. On the next play, Ardoin scored on a two-yard run for the touchdown and the Cats added a two-point conversion on a Simeon Ardoin pass to Tyler Darbonne to extend their lead at the half.
The Bobcats continued to make big plays at the start of the third quarter as Simeon Ardoin broke free on a 40-yard run, but the Cats were unable to add to their lead. The Cats did dominate the game with a long drive that took most of the remaining time of the third quarter. The Wolves did grab an intercption on a pass attempt late in the quarter, but the Wolves would be forced to punt and the Bobcat defense continued to hold the Wolves at bay to claim a 36-14 victory.
Coach Trosclair felt that his team kept the Wolves at bay by making big plays on offense.
