Bobcats slip past Gators, 21-18

Eunice defeated LaGrange 21-18 to finish the regular season at 8-2 overall and the Bobcats are expected to open the playoffs with a first-round home game.
The Bobcats put together a good drive early in the game, led by rushes by Devin Richardson and Deon Ardoin.
Jeoul Hill capped off the drive with a 20-yard rushing touchdown.
The two-point conversion was successful and Eunice led 8-0 with 8:00 left in the first quarter.
After a few stops on defense, the Bobcats showed off their versatility again.
Simeon Ardoin floated one up into the end zone to Dylan Guillory for a 28-yard touchdown.
Rider nailed the PAT and the Bobcats led 15-0 with 14 seconds left in the first quarter.
Late in the first half, LaGrange quarter-back Quintorius Jones fired a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jaden Johnson.
The two-point conversion failed but the Bobcats still led 15-6 with 34 seconds left in the second quarter.
But the Bobcats weren’t finished in the first half as after a long run by Hill, Richardson got into the end zone for a five-yard touchdown.

LaGrange got the ball back and managed to get inside the Bobcat 10-yard line.
But the Bobcat defense forced the turn over on downs to keep the score at 21-12 with 9:00 left in thegame.
But with 40 seconds left in the game, quarterback Simeon Ardoin fumbled and LaGrange recovered and scored to get the game close, 21-18.
Eunice recovered the onside kick and the Bobcats took the kneel to improve to 8-2 to finish the regular season.
Hill tallied 122 yards and a touchdown.
Richardson tallied 33 yards and a touchdown.
Simeon Ardoin completed 5 passes for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Guillory had one reception for a touchdown.
Jacoby Collins made eight tackles.
Jordon Oglesby recorded 5.5 tackles.
Myles Woods made 3.5 tackles and Dedrick Vigers recorded four tackles.
