The Eunice Bobcats opened the 2017 track season with a win, while the Lady Bobcats finished third in the EHS Invitational.
Eunice scored 152 points, followed by Opelousas (125), Crowley (79), Pine Prairie (71.5), Port Barre (44), Opelousas Catholic (32.5) and Iota (29).
John Mayo won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:43.94.
Javondre Edwards captured the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.79 and finished third in the 300-meter hurdles (44.47).
Lornza Thomas won the shot put with a throw of 40-7 1/2.
Malik Poullard won the triple jump with a leap of 41-1 1/2.
Deshawn Vigers captured the boys high jump with a leap of 5-10.
Alexander Farque won the pole vault with a height of 7-0.
Avery Lee won the javelin competition with a throw of 139-10, followed by teammate Lukas Deculus (129-5).
Damian Comeaux finished second in the shot put with a throw of 111-0.
Devin Richardson finished second in the 3,200 meters with a time of 13:32.87.
Richie Newman finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.47.
Eunice finished second in the 4x200 meter relay as Lee, Malik Poullard, Austin Deculus and Jordan Ledet combined for a time of 1:35.31.
Newman, Edwards, Deculux and Ledet finished second in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:53.53.
Crowley won the girls competition with 136 points, followed by Opelousas (102), Eunice (100), Iota (89), Opelousas Catholic (44), Port Barre (23) and Pine Prairie (20).
Robbi Palmer won tbhe girls high jump with a leap of 4-10.
Eunice won the 4x400 meter relay as Jyhreh Johnson, Kiarra White, Palmer and Kiana White combined for a 4:49.06 finish.
Victoria Ardoin finished second in the long jump (13-11), followed by Lady Cat team mate Lakeera Garnett (13-10).
Megan Fontenot finished second in the 3,200 meters with a time of 16:22.
Johnson, Victoria Ardoin, Shanyia Toussaint and Amya Johnwell finished second in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:51.09.
Johnson, Timia Thomas, Johnwell and Toussaint also finished second in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 53.37.
Timia Thomas finished third in the 110-meter dash with a time of 13.41.
Felicity Carrier finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 28-9.
