The Bobcats edged past Iota 102-100 as Eunice won their season opening track meet.
Crowley finished third with 92 points, followed by Pine Prairie (83), Mamou (41), Opelousas Catholic (27) and St. Edmund (8).
Eunice High’s Jesten Calloway captured the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.87.
Michael Gaspard won the 800 meters (2:19.50), while Bobcat teammate Gabriel Manuel finished third (2:32.29).
Dakota Garza won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:24 just ahead of Manuel’s 5:26.59.
Garza also captured the 3,200-meter run with a winning time of 11:19.94.
Eunice High’s Clement Joseph finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.50.
Terrence Shilow finished third in the 200 meters with a time of 24.97.
Gaspard finished third in the 400 meters with a time of 58.28.
Clarence Arceneaux finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 34-3.
St. Edmund’s Clay Miller finished third in the javelin with a toss of 109-2.
In the girls competition, Crowley won the Eunice Invitational with 100 points, while St. Edmund and Iota finished tied 82-82.
The EHS Lady Cats finished fourth with 77 points and Opelousas Catholic followed with 18 points.
Eunice High’s Akashaa Hall captured the 800-meter run with a time of 3.33.50.
She also finished third in the 1,600 meters with a time of 7:36.16.
St. Edmund’s Anna Chapman won the shot put with a throw of 29-3.
Lady Jay Mary Beth Lafleur captured the girls javelin (96-3) ahead of teammate Ellie Manuel (92-1).
EHS’ Madison Freeman finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (19.75) and the 300-meter hurdles (56.67).
Lady Bobcat Andajihi Savoy finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:18.
St. Edmund’s Madison Comeau won the girls’ discus with a toss of 92-8, while teammate Helen Brown finished third with a 71-11 throw.
St. Ed’s Tanzy Miller finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.78.
Lady Jay Julia Zaunbrecher was third in the long jump with a leap of 12-0.
St. Ed’s Manuel finished second in the high jump (4-6) followed by Lady Jay Laura Warner (4-2).
Eunice High’s Brilye Reed finished third in the triple jump at 28-8.
St. Edmund will compete in the Basile Bearcat Relays on Friday, while Eunice High will travel to Jennings.
