Eunice grabbed a walk-off thriller over Brusly Thursday when Jaheim Mitchell ripped a bases loaded single that allowed Dru Phillips to score the winning run.
Phillips was hit by a pitch to open the bottom of the seventh inning, Zach Suire reached on an error and Dylan Guillory was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Brusly jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when M. Curry hit a solo home run over the left field wall.
Eunice tied the game in the bottom of the second frame when Hayden Darbonne walked, advanced on a hit by Evan Fruge and scored on a ground out by Trey Soileau.
After three scoreless innings, Brusly moved ahead 2-1 in the top of the sixth when Michael Curry walked and scored on a sacrifice by Greyson Michel.
Eunice tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Dylan Darbonne singled and scored on a hit to left field by Hayden Darbonne.
Brusly threatened in the top of the seventh when Hernandez walked with two outs, but Braden Rider struck out Wade Curry to end the inning.
Mitchell started on the mound and went 5.1 innings allowed two runs on two hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.
Rider earned the win as he went 1.2 innings with one strikeout and one walk.
Eunice travels to Port Barre on Monday before hosting the John R. Young tournament that begins on Thursday.

CROWLEY – In softball action, the Lady Bobcats improved to 5-1 on the season as Eunice rolled to a 12-0 mercy-rule win over Crowley.
Caroline Vienne earned the complete game win as she struck out six and scattered two hits over five innings.
Eunice jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, begun when Sydni Lemelle was hit by a pitch and scored on a single by Olivia Thibodeaux.
Mckenzie Guillory walked and Harmony Jason singled to drive in Thibodeaux and courtesy runner Harli Turner to push Eunice ahead, 3-0.
The Lady Cats exploded for five runs in the top of the third, sparked when Harmony Jason singled and scored on a fielder’s choice by Mallory O’Brien.
Raegan Fontenot singled and then scored on a hit by Carli Boone.
Sophie Vidrine followed with a 2-RBI single as the Lady Cats pushed ahead, 7-0.
EHS added another run in the inning when Thibodeaux doubled in Vidrine.
The Lady Cats moved ahead 9-0 in the top of the fourth when Jason walked and scored on a double by O’Brien.
Eunice sealed the mercy-rule win with three more runs in the fifth frame.
Lemelle and Thibodeaux both walked and then scored on a line-drive double to center field by Guillory.
O’Brien’s single later scored courtesy runner Turner for the game’s final run.
Thibodeaux went 2-for-2 with two walks, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Vidrine finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Guillory went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.
Jason finished 1-for-2 with two walks, two RBIs and two runs scored.
O’Brien went 1-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored.
Boone finished 1-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored.
Eunice entertains Rayne (2-5) on Tuesday in the District 4-4A opener before visiting Washington-Marion (4-3) on Thursday.
