Eunice boys win Bobcat Relays

The Eunice High boys won the 2019 Bobcat Relays, scoring 126 points to out distance second place Crowley.
The Gents finished with 84 points, followed by Beau Chene (66), Notre Dame (52), Opelousas Catholic (47), Ville Platte (45), Southside (36), Church Point (34), Mamou (23) and Westminster Christian Academy (132).
Iota (10), Sacred Heart of Ville Platte (10), Port Barre (9) and St. Edmund (40) also scored in the meet.
Eunice High’s Avery Lee won the javelin with a throw of 164.
Lee also finished second in the discus with a toss of 128-2.
John Mayo won the 800 meters with a time of 2:13.72 followed by Bobcat team mate Travis Thomas (2:15.97).
Javondre Edwards finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.09.
Jordan Ledet finished second in the 100 meters with a time of 11.49.
Travis Thomas earned second place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.97.
Jeoul Hill finished second in the long jump with a leap of 19-4.5.
Hill also finished second in the triple jump (40-7.5)
Cornelius Lewis finished second in the high jump with a leap of 5-8.
Dylan Trahan finished third in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:20.29.
Trahan also finished third in the 1,600 meters with a time of 5:04.94.
Eunice won the 4x100 meter relay as Simeon Ardoin, Devin Richardson, Ledet and Treylon Cooper combined for a time of 44.82.
Ardoin, Ledet, Hill and Jacoby Collins finished third in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:36.75.
Alonzo Ned, Travis Thomas. John Mayo and Dylan Durand combined to finish third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 3:56.19.
Crowley captured the girls competition with 113 points, followed by Iota (97.5) and Eunice (96).
Westminster Christian Academy (74) finished in fourth place, followed by Church Point (40), Ville Platte (33), Beau Chene (32.5), Notre Dame (30), Port Barre (20) St. Edmund (8).
Also scoring were Mamou (6), Opelousas Catholic (3) amd Academy of the Sacred Heart-Grand Coteau (1).

Leah Walker won the 200 meters with a time of 26.72, A’mya Johnwell finished second in the 100 meters with a time of 13.28.
Katherine Rougeau won the javelin competition with a 109-0 throw.
The Lady Cats won the 4x100 relay as Zakayla Citizen, Walker, Shaynia Toussaint and Johnwell combined for a time of 51.97.
Walker, Toussaint, Jesslyn Reed and Johnwell also won the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:51.03.
Citizen, Toussaint, Reed and Madison Freeman finished third in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:32.93.
J’lisa Thibeaux finished second in the shot put with a throw of 28-11.
Kimberly Boullard won the discus with a toss of 87-4 and she finished third (28-7) in the shot put.
Andrayia White finished third in the discus with a throw of 79-0.
