Eunice places 16 on 4-4A All-District list

The Bobcats finished as co-champions in their first season back in District 4-4A and Eunice placed 16 players on the All-District lists.
Eunice finished the season 9-3 overall, 3-1 in district.
The No. 9 Bobcats opened the playoffs with a 35-27 win over No. 24 Plaquemine before falling in a 8-7 heartbreaker at No. 8 Bastrop.
District co-champions No. 21 Rayne (6-5, 3-1) lost in the opening round to No. 12 Northwood Shreveport, 7-6.
North Vermilion went 5-6 overall, 2-2 in district as the No. 25 Patriots lost to Bastrop 56-14 in the first round.
No. 26 LaGrange (4-6, 2-2) lost to No. 7 Assumption, 24-13 in the opening round of the playoffs.
Washinton-Marion (1-9 overall, 0-4 in district) did not make the playoffs.
North Vermilion senior quarterback Darius Gilliam was named the Offensive MVP, while Rayne coach Kaine Guidry earned District Coach of the Year honors.
Eunice running backs Deon Ardoin and Jeoul Hill were named first team running backs along with Jathan Royal from Washington-Marion.
Eunice’s Lane Devillier earned first team offensive lineman honors along with Rayne’s Brandon Auguillard, Malik Williams from Washington-Marion, LaGrange’s Tyler Dobson and Tyrin Hoover from North Vermilion.
Rayne’s Baylon Leon was named first team tight end.
First team wide receivers include William Causwell from Washington-Marion and LaGrange’s Orlandezz Leday.
First team kicker honors went to Rayne’s Duece Comeaux.
Eunice’s Simeon Ardoin was earnned first team athlete honors.
James Christy from LaGrange was named Defensive MVP.
Four Bobacts earned first team defensive honors including linemen DL Kevontdraay Savoy and Jordan Oglesby.
Ron Roberts from Rayne and LaGrange’s James Christy also earned frist team defensive line honors.
Eunice’s Jacoby Collins was a first team linebacker along with Rayne’s JaMarcus Monroe, Riley Baumgardner from North Vermilion and LaGrange’s Wesley Antoine.
Eunice’s Bryson Poullard led the first team defensive secondary, joined by Rayne’s Tony Cormier, North Vermilion’s Noah LeBlanc and Jayln Williams from LaGrange.
Deuce Comeaux from Rayne earned first team punter honors, while Washington Marion’s Tre’von Morrow earned first team kick returner honors.
Second team offense was led by LaGrange quarterback Quintorius Jones and running back Chad Victorian along with North Vermilion’s Kendrick Baudoin and JaMarcus Monroe from Rayne.
Second team offensive line included Dylan Darbonne from Eunice, Rayne’s ’Sia Eaglin and Dylan Istre along with Troy Sterling and Kalip Gibson from Washington-Marion.
Second team wide receivers include Trelyn Cooper from Eunice, North Vermilion’s Daylon Deculus and Nehamiah Booker from Washington-Marion.
Eunice’s Braden Rider was named second team kicker.
Second team defensive linemen include Jaden Martinez from North Vermilion, LaGrange’s Jaden South, Brandon Auguillard from Rayne and Washington Marion’s Darius Washington.
Dedrick Vigers from Eunicewas named second team linebacker along with North Vermilion’s D’Vintre Plowden, Miguel Delvalle from Rayne and Washington-Marion’s Zebian Daffney.
Eunice’s Jahiem Mitchell lead the second team secondary along with Cadiin Johnson from LaGrange and the Rayne duo of Bleyton Francis and Will Arceneaux .
Landon Jones from Washington-Marion was named second team punter.
North Vermilion’s Benny Freeman was named second team punt returner.
Eunice’s Samuel LeBleu, Devin Richardson and Dylan Guillory earned Honorable Mention honors.
