Eunice runs past Mustangs

The Eunice High Bobcats concluded their football spring drills with a srimmage against the Avoyelles High Mustangs this past Wednesday.
The Bobcats dominated the Mustangs, especially on the offensive side of the scrimmage.
Bobcat head coach Paul Trosclair and offensive coordinator Andre Vige had the offense at full speed with both the passing and the running attack performing at top form.
Quarterback Simeon Ardoin completed six of eight passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns.
Tralyn Cooper caught four passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Jaheim Mitchell had two receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown.
The rushing attack for the Bobcats dominated the Mustang defensive unit, with Jeoul Hill scoring three touchdowns as he rushed for 166 yards on five attempts.
Deon Ardoin carried nine times for 54 yards and Devin Richardson gained 23 yards on four attempts. Bryson Poullard carried three times for 30 yards.
The Bobcat defense performed well against the Mustang offense, allowing only two scores.
Eunice will open the 2019 season on Sept. 6 at the Northwest Raiders.
