SHREVEPORT – The No. 8 ranked Blue Jays suffered their first loss of the season as Evangel rolled to a 41-27 win over St. Edmund.
The Eagles took control of the game early with an interception on the Blue Jays’ opening drive.
Evangel moved 57 yards in 11 plays, capped by a 4-yard run by DaShawn Johnson.
Kaegan Kent’s PAT gave the Eagles a 7-0 lead with 4:13 left in the first quarter.
