From Bobcat to Wildcat.
When Eunice High’s Brody Gaspard signed his national letter of intent to play football at Louisiana College on Wednesday, he changed from one feline mascot to another.
“I like the atmosphere there,” Gaspard said of LC. “Plus it is really big on education.”
Gaspard plans to major in keneisology and become an athletic trainer.
The defensive lineman said the Eunice High coaches taught him a good work ethic, persistence and to never give up.
Bobcat athletic director Paul Trosclair Paul Trosclair said Brody was an important part of the EHS team.
“He was really commiited to the game,” the coach said. “He led the team in workouts and when we needed some help he was willing to play both ways.
“He has a lot of upside to him,” the coach said. “I think he is going to get better and better.”
