He was the only Blue Jay senior and Phillip Fontenot earned the spotlight as St. Edmund rolled to a 17-0 mercy-rule win over South Cameron.
Fontenot threw a complete game shut out as he allowed two hits over five innings with seven strikeouts and two walks.

The Blue Jays opened with five runs in the bottom of the first, begun when Jack Miller singled, Brock Bieber walked and Sawson Ardoin tripled to clear the bases.
Ardoin scored on a hit by Brad Miller, while Lance Miller followed with a single and both scored when Will Turk reached on an error.
With a 5-0 lead, the Blue Jays exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the second frame, begun as Payton Marcantel tripled and scored on a hit by Jack Miller.
