Lady Bobcats hold Senior Day

The Eunice High Lady Bobcats dropped a 15-3 decision to the Mamou Lady Green Demons in non-district softball action Monday.
The Lady Cats fell behind in the second inning when Mamou scored a run in the top of the first inning and two more in the second to take a 3-0 lead.
Eunice responded with a run in the bottom of the second inning when Nicole Vidrine reached base as a result of an error and later scored on a triple by Morgan Domingue.
Mamou answered back in the top of the third inning, scoring five runs to extend their lead to 8-1.
The Lady Cats picked up a run in the fourth inning when Cassie Thomas scored to cut the Mamou lead to 8-2.
But Mamou extended their lead with two runs in the fifth and five in the sixth for a 15-2 advantage.
The Lady Cats managed to score a run in the bottom of the sixth when Vidrine singled and scored.
In addition to Vidrine’s two hits and Domingue’s triple, Katlyn Joubert added a single in the fifth inning.
The LHSAA will release the softball playoff brackets today.
