The Lady Bobcats exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the first inning as Eunice cruised to to 16-1 mercy-rule win over the Jennings Lady Bulldogs.
McKenzie Guillory walked, Natalie Vidrine singled and Cassie Thomas drilled a double to score both Lady Cats.
Alissa Pate followed with a triple to drive in Thomas as EHS moved ahead, 3-0.
Jailyn Pavich singled with two outs to score Pate.
Carli Boone and Kelsea Aguillard both walked to load the bases.
Olivia Thibodeaux blasted a triple to centerfield to drive in courtesy runner Jeslyn Edwards, Boone and Aguillard. Thibodeaux also scored to push Eunice ahead, 8-0.
The Lady Cats added three more runs in the bottom of the second, begun when Natalie Vidrine singled and scored on a bunt by Nicole Vidrine.
Thomas walked, stole second and scored on a hit by Pavich.
Nicole Vidrine advanced on an error and then stole home as the Lady Cats led, 11-0.
Jennings avoided the shut out when Krishtan Comeaux tripled and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Brooke Hopkins.
Eunice added three more runs in the bottom of the third inning, begun when Thomas singled, Pate was hit by a pitch and Nicole Vidrine tripled down the first base line.
Vidrine then scored on a hit by Pavich to push the Lady Cats up, 14-1.
Eunice completed the rout with two runs in the bottom of the fourth as Guillory singled, Natalie Vidrine walked and Pate doubled them in.
Pavich earned the complete game win as she allowed four hits, struck out four and did not a give up a walk.
Thibodeaux went 1-for-3 with a walk and three RBI.
Pavich went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

SEH 15, Pine Prairie 1
PINE PRAIRIE – St. Edmund improved to 4-0 on the baseball season as the Blue Jays cruised to a 15-1 mercy-rule win over Pine Prairie.
The Blue Jays exploded for eight runs in the top of the first inning as St. Edmund went through the batting order.
Carter Lejuene singled, stole both second and third base before he scored on a wild pitch.
Jack Miller was hit by a pitch, Brock Bieber walked and both scored on a double by Payton Marcantel as the Blue Jays pushed ahead, 3-0.
Marcantel scored on a sacrifice by Bryce Vidrine, while Brad Miller reached on an error and scored on a hit by Lance Miller.
Dawson Ardoin was hit by a pitch before Will Turk singled in Ardoin and Miller.
Turk scored the final run of the inning on a hit by LeJeune as St. Ed’s had an eight-run margin.
Pine Prairie scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the inning as Nick Ortego was hit by a pitch, advanced on an error and crossed home plate on a fielder’s choice.
The Blue Jays added four runs in the top of the second, begun when Marcantel singled.
Pinch runner Garrett Dubois stole second and scored on a hit by Ardoin.
Brad Miller singled and Lance Miller walked to load the bases.
Turk then singled in Brad Miller and Ardoin, while Lance Miller scored on a ground out by LeJeune.
St. Edmund completed the mercy-rule win with three final runs in the top of the third inning.
Beiber began the frame with a double and scored on a double by Marcantel.
Brad Miller followed with the Jays’ third consecutive double.
The fourth double in a row by Ardoin allowed Dubois and Brad Miller to score as the Jays pushed ahead, 15-1.
After Pine Prairie turned a double play, ST. Ed’s pinch hitter Wesley Driggs walked and advanced to third on a wild pitch but was left stranded.
Marcantel went 3-for-3 with three RBI to lead the Jays.
Turk finished 2-for-2 with a walk, four RBI and a run scored.
Ardoin went 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs scored, while LeJeune finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Brad Miller also went 2-for-4 with three runs scored,
St. Edmuund opened the season with three wins in the Kinder tournament as the Blue Jays cruised past Rosepine (12-2) and Iowa (13-1) before an 8-6 win over Kinder.

Crowley 4, St. Ed's 1
Both teams finished with six hits, but Crowley made the most of their opportunities as the Ladies earned a 4-1 win over St. Edmund in the Lady Bobcat Invitational.
After two scoreless innings, the Lady Jays grabbed a 1-0 lead when Anna Belle Fontenot singled and scored on an error.
Crowley tied the game in the bottom of the inning as Jocelyn Marceaux walked and scored on a double by Phobee Spell.
St. Ed’s threatened in the top of the fourth when Jacee Cobb reached on an error and Jamie Fuselier singled but neither could score.
The Ladies pushed two more runs in the bottom of the inning, begun when Lily Hoffpauir singled and scored on a wild pitch.
Kelsey Lagasa singled and scored on a double by Mallory LeBlanc as Crowley moved ahead, 3-1.
CHS added an insurance run in the bottom of the inning when Skylier Baronet singled to left and scored on an error.
Nella LaGrange earned the complete game win as she struck out 10 and allowed one run on six hits.
Karleigh Soileau suffered the loss as she allowed three earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Eunice baseball
The Bobcat baseball team went 1-for-2 in the Brusly tournament as Eunice opened with a 2-1 loss to St. John’s of Plaquemine on a two-run home run by Grant Blanchard.
Eunice pitcher Luke Andrepont took the tough loss after working six innings on the mound, allowing two hits, walking one, and striking out two.
The Bobcats were held in check offensively by St. John pitcher Hunter Schurbar in the early going, limiting the Cats to just two hits by Austin Phillips and Tyler Darbonne over the first four innings.
The only other hit for the Bobcats came on a bunt single by Deandre Courville in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Dunhama 17, Eunice 1
In the second game of the tournament, the Dunham Tigers cruised to a 17-1 win over the Bobcats.
Grant Fontenot took the mound for the Cats and kept Dunham in check over the first two innings, allowing no hits, while walking one.
But the Tigers came to life in the third inning, scoring five runs.
Fontenot worked four innings, allowing five runs and giving up seven hits before giving way to relievers Ja’heim Mitchell, Dustin LeBlanc, and Young.
The Bobcat offense managed to push across a run against the Tigers in the second inning when Tyler Darbonne singled, stole second base and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Braiden Rider.
Eunice 11, Hammond 1
The Bobcats closed the tournament with an 11-1 win over Hammond.
Tyler Darbonne shut out the Tornados over the first two innings, allowing the Bobcat offense to get going.
Grant Fontenot provided the spark for the Cats in the first inning with a single, later scoring on a double by Tyler Darbonne to take a 2-0 lead.
The Cats extended their lead with four runs in the second inning. Rider opened the inning with a single and advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Ja’heim Mitchell.
The inning continued with Fontenot reaching on a hit batsman and Phillips drawing a walk.
Luke Andrepont’s two-run single extended the Eunice lead to 6-0. The Cats added to their lead in the third inning, with Dylan Darbonne drawing a walk and scoring on a single by Ryder, who later scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Deondre Courville to extend their lead to 8-0.
The Cats scored three more runs in the fifth inning after a bunt and a stolen base by Fontenot before Austin Phillips drove in the final three runs in the sixth inning with a two-run double to give the Cats an 11-1 win.
Darbonne finished with five innings, two hits and one hit allowed. He walked six and struck out five.
