Lady Cats roll on senior day

In their final home game of the season, the Lady Cats honored the seniors with a 15-1 mercy-rule win over Northwest.
With a 6-0 lead, the Lady Cats exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the third to put the game away.
Nicole Vidrine and Caroline Vienne both singled to start the rally.
Vidrine later scored on a Northwest error, while courtesy runner Jeslyn Edwards stole home to push the Lady Cats up 8-1.
Carli Boone tripled and Olivia Thibodeaux scored on an inside-the-park home,
Mckenzie Guillory walked, Natalie Vidrine advanced on a dropped third strike and both scored on a double by Alissa Pate.
The Lady Cats pushed ahead 13-1 after Pate stole third and scored on a hit by Cassie Thomas.
Eunice completed the romp with a run in the bottom of the fourth as Kelly Sonnier singled, stole both second and third before scoring on a hit by Guiullory.
The Lady Cats scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, begun when Olivia Thibodeaux reached on an error and scored on a double by Guillory.
Guillory later stole home, while Nicole Vidrine singled and scored on a hit by Natalie Vidrine to push the Lady Cats up by three runs.
Eunice added three more runs in the bottom of the second begun when Kelesa Aguillard walked, stole both second and third before crossing home plate on a Lady Raider error.
Thibodeaux scored on her first inside-the-park home run and Guillory tripled tandof the game scored on a Natalie Vdrine sacrifice as Eunice pushed ahead, 6-0.
Northwest avoided the shutout when Morine was hit by a pitch in the third inning and scored on a triple by Guillory.
Vienne earned the win for the Lady Cats as she struck out six, walked one and allowed one run and one hit over three innings.
Jailyn Pavih pitched the final two innings and alowed one hit with three strikeouts.
Eunice finished with 15 runs on 15 hits, led by Thibodeaux (2-for-4, 4 RBI, 3 RS), Guillory (3-for-3 with a walk, a RBI, 3 RS) and Nicole Vidrine (3-for-3, RBI).
Vienne helped her own cause as she went 2-for-3 against the Lady Raiders.
Eunice (11-14, 3-10) closes the rregular season at Iota (17-8, 8-4) today.
