ALEXANDRIA – The Lady Jays opened the softball season Wednesday with a loss as Holy Savior Menard earned an 8-1 victory over St. Edmund.
Menard scored in the bottom of the first inning as Sawyer Shelton walked, advanced on a sacrifice and a passed ball before crossing home plate on a ground out by Emily DeSelle.
