Round One went to the Lady Jays.
It took five sets, but St. Edmund downed Eunice High, 3-2 in a battle between cross-town rivals.
The two teams meet again on Sept. 30 at St. Edmund.
Eunice (7-5) jumped out to a 11-4 lead in the first set, aided by strong hits by Destiny Labbe and Brooklyn Darbonne.
