OHS, Crowley win Bobcat Relays

The Crowley High Ladies and the Opelousas Tigers grabbed wins in the 2017 Bobcat Relays held Friday at Eunice High.
Crowley won the girls division with 111 points, followed by Notre Dame (108), Beau Chene (90), Eunice (85), Opelousas (68), Ville Platte (39), Opelousas Catholic (15), Port Barre (11), Sacred Heart (5), Mamou (4) and St. Edmund (1).
Jyhreh Johnson won the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.47.
Robbie Palmer won the high jump with a leap of 5-0.
Amya Johnwell finished second in the 100 meters with a time of 12.85.
Shanyia Toussaint finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 27.91 followed by team mate Amya Johnwell (27.99).
The Lady Cats finished second in all three relay events.
Johnwell, Johnson, Timia Thomas and Kiara White finished the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 52.22.
Johnwell, White, Johnson and Shanyia Toussaint finished the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:49.44.
Palmer, Jesslyn Reed, Stacie White and Johnson finished the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:34.34.
Kiana White finished third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.59.
Stacie White finished third in the javelin with a throw of 94-7.
Opelousas won the boys division with 97. 5 points, followed by Beau Chene (92), Crowley (83.5), Ville Platte (82), Eunice (63), Notre Dame (52), Port Barre (24), Rayne (22), Pine Prairie (14), Opelousas Catholic (10), St. Edmund (6) and Sacred Heart of Ville Platte (5).
Malik Poullard won the the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.62.
Loranza Thomas won the shot put with a throw of 42-10.
Javondre Edwards finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.54.
Edwards also finished second in the high jump with a height of 5-6.
Alexander Farque finished second in the pole vault (8-6), while Avery Lee grabbed second in the javelin (149-9).
Poullard finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 41-3.
