After fighting through the regular season, seven local teams earned a playoff spot in the LHSAA state softball playoffs.
In Class 3-A, No. 25 Eunice (11-20) will travel to No. 8 South Beauregard (24-1) for a 5 p.m. Monday contest.
No. 10 Iota (22-9) will entertain No. 23 Iowa (13-18) at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
No. 29 Church Point (6-20) will visit No. 4 North Vermilion (25-5) at 4 p.m. Monday.
District 5-3A champion and No. 2 seed Pine Prairie (29-4) will entertain No. 31 Wossman (11-8) at 6 p.m. Monday.
No. 15 Mamou (18-13) will face district foe Port Barre (14-17) in the bi-district round at 6 p.m. Monday.
In Division IV, District 4-1A champion No. 16 St. Edmund (13-13) will travel to to-seed Cedar Creek (22-8) on Friday.
No. 8 Sacred Heart of Ville Platte (12-12) will entertain No. 9 St. Frederick (14-9) at 4 p.m. Friday.
No. 5 Merryville (9-7) and No. 6 South Cameron (11-11) earned first-round byes from District 4-1A, while No. 15 Grand Lake (7-14) entertains No. 18 Block (2-18).
