St. Edmund honors athletes

The annual St. Edmund athletic banquet was held Monday at the Northwest Community Center.
Lucy Brown was named Miss Blue Jay, while Peter Miller was selected as Mr. Blue Jay.
Miller also received the Joe Nagata Memorial Award.
Allison Lafleur and Austin Gradney were given the Jerry Hoffpauir Memorial Award.
All athletes, cheerleaders, dance team and other support groups were recognized at the banquet.
Peter Miller and Jack Brown were named football captains.
Alex Stelly was the defensive MVP, Luke Doucet was the offensive MVP and Michael Zaunbrecher earned the Coaches Award.
Blair Allain was named oustanding performer in cross country, while Lucy Brown was given the coaches’ award.
In girls basketball, Allison Lafleur was named captain, and Abby Miller was given the coaches award.
Maggie Larriviere was the defensive MVP, while Gabby Fontenot was offensive MVP.
In boys basketball, Gradney was selected captain, while Drake Trahan was given the coaches award.
Alex Dupre was offensive MVP and William Manuel was defensive MVP.
Harry West was named outstanding golfer and Henry Brown was given the coaches award.
Blair Allain was named girls outstanding track performer, while Mallory Allain was selected outstanding field performer.
Allison Lafleur was named captain and Katherine Sittig was given the coaches award.
In boys track, Gus Brown was named outstanding track performer and Jacque Richard earned outstanding field performer.
Peter Miller was named captain and Chris Berzas was given the coaches award.
In tennis, Lucy Brown and Ben Vidrine were named captains.
Ashton Eckholdt and Richard were given the coaches award.
In softball, Kelli Richard was selected captain, while Allison Lafleur was given the coaches award.
Offensive MVP was Larriviere and Gabby Fontenot was named defensive MVP.
In baseball, Jack Brown was selected captain, while Michael Zaunbrecher.
Brock Bieber and Will Turk earned baseball MVP honors.
In powerlifting, Mallory Allain was named outstanding performer and Lucy Brown was given the coaches award.
