A first-time parade to honor the city’s high school seniors remains scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday from City Hall to Circle Park and back.
Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said the event remains scheduled.

St. Edmund students reported for their first day of school Wednesday. Gus Brown, left, a sophomore, and Helen Brown, an eighth-grader, arrived on campus early to begin their day. There are 398 students enrolled at St. Edmund.

The Lafayette Diocese and St. Edmund administrators said they are investigating a reported case of a hazing involving cheerleaders at St. Edmund High School wearing “blackface.”
