Parish president says he asked for animal control probe

St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard said he asked for an investigation into the parish Animal Control Center after taking office in August 2020.
The St. Landry Parish Animal Control Center’s former director was arrested, booked on theft charges and malfeasance in office Friday.
