The nine-parish Acadiana Regional Juvenile Justice District is a reality.
Gov. John Bel Edwards signed Act 166 into law Monday creating the district as a political subdivision of the state. The new law provides for territorial jurisdiction through the parishes of Acadia, Allen, Evangeline, Iberia, Jeff Davis, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion.
