UL Lafayette moves ahead with graduate certificate in cardiovascular nursing

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions is one step closer to offering a graduate certificate program for nurse practitioners who want to specialize in heart-related health care.
UL Lafayette’s graduate certificate in cardiovascular nursing was approved by the University of Louisiana System. The program will be considered by the Louisiana Board of Regents on Dec. 12.

UL Lafayette Homecoming Week features entertainment and activities for students, alums

University of Louisiana at Lafayette students, alumni and football fans have plenty to get fired up about during Homecoming Week 2018.
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the New Mexico State Aggies will face off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Cajun Field, but not before a week filled with activities and entertainment.
A pep rally, parade, tailgating, food truck roundup, talent show, and road race are just some of the events planned by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association and the University Program Council.

UL Lafayette unveils state-of-the-art financial lab

Business students and faculty at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette now have access to a state-of-the-art financial lab.
UL Lafayette’s B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday to open the Maraist Financial Services Lab.
The 1,178 square-foot facility is located in F.G. Mouton Hall. It features 24 computer workstations, 12 Bloomberg Terminals, electronic ticker tape display, digital data board, and television monitors for business and financial news.

UL Lafayette releases honor lists

University of Louisiana at Lafayette has released its President’s and Dean’s lists for the spring semester.
Undergraduate students recognized on the President’s List have earned a 3.8 GPA or better.
Dean’s List honorees have earned at 3.5 GPA or better.
To qualify for either list, students must be enrolled full-time. The UL Lafayette Dean’s and President’s lists include the of following.

UL Lafayette Spring Commencement ceremonies set for Friday

Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees will be conferred at UL Lafayette’s Spring 2018 Commencement Friday at the Cajundome and Convention Center
The General Assembly will be held at 11 a.m. at the Cajundome. Doctoral candidates will be hooded at this ceremony. Graduating seniors, faculty members and administrators will attend, wearing full academic regalia.
UL Lafayette alum and CBS News national correspondent David Begnaud will deliver the Commencement address.
