GAO report cites Angelle for progress during his leadership at Bureau

A U.S. General Accounting Office report cites leadership improvements at the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement during Scott Angelle’s tenure. Angelle, of Breaux Bridge, served from May 2017 to this January as the agency’s fourth director.

A review of offshore oil and gas drilling regulations imposed during the Obama administration is to be completed by the end of year, according to Scott Angelle, who was named director of the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement in the Department of the Interior in May.

Scientists find Deepwater Horizon oil in sparrows

Scientists have identified the first evidence of Deepwater Horizon oil in a land animal — the Seaside Sparrow. The scientists analyzed the diet and feathers of sparrows collected more than a year after the oil spill.
