City meeting returns to familiar turf -- finances and needs

The Eunice mayor and aldermen returned to familiar turf during Tuesday’s meeting as they heard a report from Fire Chief Mike Arnold outlining the fire department’s needs.

Eunice council starting with light agenda

The agenda items ran on the light side as the agenda was set for Tuesday’s Eunice Board of Aldermen meeting. Mayor Scott Fontenot, Alderman at-large Jack Burson and Alderman Dale Soileau were the elected officials attending the meeitng Thursday at City Hall.

Aldermen OK resolution opposing closing LSUE

Eunice aldermen passed a resolution to be sent to legislators and the governor to oppose closing Louisiana State University Eunice. The action at Tuesday’s meeting came at the request of Jack Burson, alderman at-large.
