UL Lafayette closed Tuesday

Based on the overnight shift in the path of Tropical Storm Harvey, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
Essential personnel are required to check in with supervisors for assignments.
Students, faculty and staff members are encouraged to continue to monitor University official email, social media accounts and its website for updates.

UL Lafayette tops think tank’s rankings for social mobility

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is a national leader for providing access to higher education for lower-income students, according to the Brookings Institution.
A recent report from the nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, D.C., ranked UL Lafayette the ninth-best four-year, public university in the United States for promoting social mobility.

LSUE, UL recognition touted on CNBC website

A year ago, LSUE and the University of Louisiana Lafayette were named as one of six high-performing pairs of community colleges and universities with strong transfer student outcomes in a report from the Aspen Institute and the Community College Research Center at Teachers College, Columbia University.
That might have been a recognition tucked into the files and never mentioned again.

UL Lafayette Spring 2017 list of graduates

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette awarded a record 1,771 degrees during Spring 2017 Commencement ceremonies on May 12.
Bachelor’s and master’s degrees were conferred at ceremonies that were held at three campus locations. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 1,519 graduates. Master’s degrees were awarded to 220 graduates. Twenty-seven graduates received doctoral degrees. Five graduates received graduate certificates.
