Congressman Mike Johnson of Shreveport might not be a name that’s in heavy circulation in local coffee houses and barrooms.

U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson’s office will host satellite office hours in Allen, Evangeline, St. Landry and Beauregard parishes. The congressman will not be present.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the Eunice City Marshal’s Office will receive a $19,000 grant to purchase a patrol vehicle and equipment for public security.

Citing unpredictable weather conditions caused by Hurricane Harvey, 4th District U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson. cancelled his previously scheduled town hall in Evangeline Parish. The meeting was meant to take place this Wednesday in Ville Platte.
