Ville Platte adopts $16M budget

The Ville Platte city council held a special meeting on June 29 to amend its 2016-2017 budget, as well as approve the city’s budget for the year beginning July 1 and ending June 30, 2018. For the 2016-17 fiscal year, the city originally anticipated revenues in the amount of $15,977,000.

Crime surveillance cameras coming to Ville Platte

Mayor Jennifer Vidrine told the Ville Platte City Council that additional crime cameras will soon be up around Ville Platte, helping to keep the city safe.
