St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley was the setting for the evening ceremony uniting Courtney Paige LeJeune and Brandt Anthony Mankin in Holy Matrimony.
The double-ring ceremony was held on Friday, December 18 at 6 p.m. with the Reverend Mikel Polson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Melissa LeJeune of Iota, and the groom is the son of Jil Mankin and the late Timothy Mankin of Lafayette.
Grandparents of the bride are Ethel Jeansonne Miller and the late Richard “Dick” Miller of Eunice, and the late Clarice Zaunbrecher LeJeune and Rodney LeJeune of Iota.
Grandparents of the groom are Judy and Cedric Johnson of Youngsville and Penny and Donnie Daniels of Patterson.
Organist for the ceremony was Connie Beaugh, vocalist was Arien Harper, and trumpeters were Joe Stemplewski and Josh Stemplewski.
Church lectors were Richard Miller, godfather of the bride; and Carla Box, godmother of the groom.
The bride, given away by her brother Josh LeJeune, was radiant in a soft fitted and flair silhouette fashioned gown of ivory and champagne chantilly lace. The tulle overlay of the gown was accented with frosted embroidered lace beaded appliques. The gown featured a v-neck, long sleeve, button back out of the same tulle overlay. The soft wide hemline of the gown flowed into a long, sheer, petal train.
The bride’s headpiece included a fingertip veil with gold tulle outlined in assorted clear crystals and sequins.
She carried a hand-held bouquet of slate blue roses with cream garden roses accented with greenery of eucalyptus and dusty blue accents. Attached to the bouquet was a picture of her grandfather in a charm, and a wedding angel with a sapphire wedding rosary from the Vatican blessed by Pope Francis. The bouquet stems were wrapped in blue striped fabric that was once a tie worn by her grandfather.
Serving as maid of honor was Amelia Rose LeJeune of Shreveport, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Krista Mancuso of Lafayette, Josie Aguillard of Basile, both friends of the bride; Alyssa Mankin of Lafayette, sister of the groom, and junior bridesmaid was Isabella Haydel of Lafayette, niece of the groom.
The attendants wore a bodice style floor length gown. The A-line design featured a chiffon overlay in slate blue. Each bridesmaid chose the style of their choice. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet consisting of ivory roses with slate blue accents and various accenting greenery.
Serving as the flower girl was Piper Mankin, daughter of Alyssa Mankin of Lafayette, niece of the groom.
Serving as best man was Layne Sims of Carencro, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen included Max Saltzman of Scott, friend of the groom, Harry Rosenberg of New Orleans, Jesse Mangrum of Lafayette, both friends of the groom. Kolston Franklin of New Iberia, godchild of the groom, served as junior groomsman.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at La Belle Venue in Eunice. The couple took a honeymoon trip to San Antonio, and plan to travel to Universal Studios in the spring for an extended honeymoon.
The couple have made their home in Broussard.
