Acadia Police Jury re-elects Savoy as president

Election of officers highlights an otherwise routine meeting of the Acadia Parish Police Jury here Jan. 10. And even that was routine with David Savoy re-elected for his third term as president and Robert Guidry re-elected for his third term as vice president.

Acadia Police Jury budget includes 10% pay cut for employees

A 2017 budget that includes cuts in pay and even the termination of one parish-paid employee was adopted by the Acadia Parish Police Jury here Tuesday night. Overall, the jury adopted a $31.4 million operating budget for the coming fiscal year.
