Two brand new fire trucks were introduced to the city at the Sittig Fire Station on Thursday.
The 2017 model trucks replace 1979 and 1984 models, which were parked not too far away from the shiny red new trucks.

Eunice Fire Chief Michael Arnold said three units responded to a fire at an abandoned house at 12:30 p.m. Friday at 571 Halsey St. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation by State Fire Marshal’s investigators.
As public servants, as Eunice Fire Capt. Jeremy Faulkner said Friday, “We, the Eunice firefighters, city marshals, Eunice Police, and all who serve want to help others.”
A 40-year-old Eunice woman was charged with simple arson by the State Fire Marshal after a house at 311 North Cane St. burned about 1 a.m. Sunday.
