Fire station serves as collection point for Harvey relief supplies

As public servants, as Eunice Fire Capt. Jeremy Faulkner said Friday, “We, the Eunice firefighters, city marshals, Eunice Police, and all who serve want to help others.”
Thats what happened in Eunice at the main fire station on Park Avenue, as a supply drive collection opened for the public to help the neighboring state of Texas after devastation from Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey.
“Two large container trucks left this morning early. We will continue the drive and are making plans to make another trip to Port Arthur, at a warehouse distribution center,” Faulkner said.
The supply drive will continue. Drop off collection is at the main fire station in Eunice on Park Avenue. Firefighters are asking that the public drop off items at the rear of the station, north end.
Accepting all donations of nonperishable items, cases of bottled water, diapers, all size clothing, toiletries and cleaning supplies.
The public can donate seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
