Burying alleluia for Lent at St. Francis

Burying the alleluia for Lent are Seth Simar, left, Emily Zaunbrecher, Macie Vidrine, Gavin Smith, Caite Zaunbrecher, Paisley Miller, Weston Pousson and Christian Schippers, all sxith graders at St. Francis School. Each year students bury the word alleluia on Ash Wednesday. During the 40 days of Lent, the word alleluia is not sung at Mass or during song practice on Tuesdays at school.
