Election day is Saturday

Topping the ballot in Saturday’s election is a three-day race for 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal.
Candidates are Vanessa Waguespack Anseman, Susan Theal and Candyce Perret. They are all Republicans.
In Basile, voters will decide between LaToya Howze and Darrell Reed for the District 1 alderman’s seat.
Another area election is for the District 42 state representative position. Candidates are John Stefanksi and “Jay” Suire, both Crowley Republicans.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
