Eunice woman booked on charge related to Christmas killing

Laura Ann Williams, 46, of Corn Street, Eunice, was arrested Jan. 15 for her involvement in the Christmas morning homicide that occurred at her residence on Corn Street, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot.
Williams was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on a charge of obstruction of justice.
At 2:46 a.m. on Christmas, Eunice Police responded to a shooting in the 400 Block of Corn Street. Upon arrival officers found the victim lying on the ground in the front yard of the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was 41-year-old Tommy Williams of Vile Platte.
Arrested previously in this case was Clifford Isaiah Campbell, 20, of South Beulah Street, Eunice. He was charged with second-degree murder.
According to Chief of Police Randy Fontenot, other arrests are forthcoming in this case as the investigation continues.
