Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said a third and final arrest was made Friday in a Christmas murder case.
Ville Platte Police arrested Kagon Serie, 29, of South Soileau Street, Ville Platte, at his home.
At 2:46 a.m. on Christmas, Eunice Police responded to a shooting in the 400 Block of Corn Street. Upon arrival officers found the victim lying on the ground in the front yard of the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was 41-year-old Tommy Williams of Ville Platte.
On Jan. 15, Laura Ann Williams, 46, of Corn Street, Eunice, was arrested for her involvement in the Christmas morning homicide that occurred at her residence on Corn Street, according to Fontenot.
Arrested previously in this case was Clifford Isaiah Campbell, 20, of South Beulah Street, Eunice. He was charged with second-degree murder.
Serie, according to investigators, drove the victim to Eunice on the evening of the shooting. An altercation erupted and the victim asked Serie to take him back to Ville Platte. Serie refused claiming to be impaired. The argument escalated and it is alleged Serie handed the weapon to Campbell, who shot the victim. Serie took the gun from Campbell after the shooting and removed it from the scene.
Serie is charged as a principle to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. He was to be taken to the St. Landry Parish Jail Friday.
According to Ville Platte Police, Serie did resist officers executing the arrest warrant.
