Beginning Wednesday, construction will begin on a $3.04 million project on La. 106 from La. 13 to U.S. 167 between mileposts 9.9 to 14.4 in Evangeline Parish, according to DOTD.
The work is estimated to take place on Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with intermittent lane closures throughout the project, weather permitting.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
The project will include removing the existing surfacing on the roadway, reconstruct subgrade and base, and place new asphalt pavement, and related work.
The project is estimated for completion in December 2018.
