Hurricane Delta is continuing to weaken very slowly. We just had a wind gust of 94 mph here in Lake Charles. Winds should start decreasing along and south of the I-10 corridor in the next 2 to 4 hours, but will be increasing in parts of central Louisiana still. Widespread power outages are seen across southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana.

Storm surge has ended in southeast Texas and wqestern Cameron Parish, but is still rising rapidly in Vermilion, Iberia, and St. Mary Parish. Tides are 4 to 6 feet above normal in this area and will continue to rise tonight.

Rainfall is slowly ending south of the I-10 corridor, but is still falling across east Texas and central Louisiana quite hard. Radar estimates show 10 to 12 inches has fallen in parts of southwest Louisiana so far, causing widespread flooding from Moss Bluff to Jennings and Kinder.
