Elton man dies in Eunice shooting

A 23-year-old Elton man, Oshae Doffney, died after being shot as he exited his vehicle at the residence of one of the passengers in the 1600 block of West Vine. Avenue, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot in a news release.
Eunice Police received a call at 1:46 a.m. Monday from Mercy Regional Medical Center in Eunice that a gunshot victim had been brought to the emergency room.
Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as dark-colored vehicle, which left after the shooting.
The victim succumbed to his wounds at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
