The Eunice Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of Eunice presents the 33rd annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffeé Cook-off.
The festivities begin from 8 p.m. to midnight March 24 with a Pre-Cook-off Kick-off dance at the Barn at Lake View Park & Beach 1717 Veterans Memorial Hwy. Eunice, featuring Jamie Bergeron and Kickin Cajuns.
The Cook-off is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 25 at 651 Samuel Drive in Eunice.
Bands scheduled are:
10 to 11:30 a.m., Seth Spell and Cajun Strong;
Noon to 1:30 p.m., Kyle Huval and the Dixie Club Ramblers; and
2 to 3 p.m., Courtbouillon-featuring ( Wayne Toups, Steve Riley & Wilson Savoy).
There will be free admission and parking.
Each year cook-off contestants vie to win the title as World Champion Crawfish Etouffee (smothered crawfish) Chefs.
Celebrity and professional judges will proclaim winners in three different categories: Amateur, Professional, and Club/Organizations. Teams also vie for the best decorated booth and the people can proclaim their favorite winner. All winners will be announced from the music stage at approximately 3:30 p.m.
