Lafayette area job fair to host more than 80 employers

The Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC)’s Region IV Business & Career Solutions Center will participate in the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) Job Fair on Tuesday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center.
More than 80 local, state and national employers are expected to participate.
Industries that will be represented include, but are not limited to: health care, engineering, manufacturing, law enforcement, sales/marketing, banking, retail, customer service, management, transportation and information technology. In addition to meeting with employers, participants will have access to a resume review station, and can take part in three seminars on the following topics:
Preparing for Different Types of Interviews (10 a.m.)
How to Write a Competitive Resume That Yields Results (11 a.m.)
How to Increase Odds of a Post Job Fair Interview (1 p.m.)
