Meetings scheduled on planning art, cultural programs in communities

Body

In September and October, Thursday evening workshops will be held at various locations along the Corridors des Arts, introducing communities to cross-sector partnerships as means for the development of strategic plans addressing art and culture programs.
Attendees will examine the benefits of this type of partnership to community, economic and cultural development. Specific cases of success will be reviewed where the uniqueness of the community is highlighted through art and cultural development.
Invited are business owners, government and non-profit agencies, elected officials, arts, educators, and community volunteers.
The workshop will be repeated so as to bring the initiative to each area of the corridor.
Guest speakers will provide about 15 minutes of commentary at each event.
