Eunice Police are looking for four men following a shooting that happened during a home invasion.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the four suspects knocked on the door of a home in the 200 block of Childs Street around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
When the victim opened the door Fontenot said the suspects forced their way inside.
“There was a struggle between the victim and the suspects. The victim was shot in the leg. The suspects then fled from the home on foot,” he said.
The victim was wounded in the upper thigh and treated at Acadian Medical Center, he said.
There were two people in the house at the time of the invasion.
Fontenot says the suspects allegedly told the victims repeatedly to “give it to me” during the home invasion.
The victims told police that they were not sure of what the suspects were referring to by saying “give it to me.”
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Eunice Police Department at 337-457-2626.
