Road closure to start Tuesday

The replacement of the bridge on West Maple Avenue and Bobcat Drive will result in an additional road closing beginning Tuesday.
La. 91, which is Maple Avenue, has been closed for the bridge project since Jan. 16 for Phase 1 of the project.
That phase, bridge removal and replacement, has been completed, according to a news release from the state Department of Transportation and Development.
Phase 2 of the project, reconstruction of the intersection of Maple Avenue and Bobcat Drive and completion of the bridge replacement, is to begin Tuesday.
The closure will be extended west of La. 757 (Bobcat) if weather permits.
Traffic will be detoured to U.S. 190, La. 13, La. 755 and La. 368. The detour will be posted.
