Roland Miller has announced he is a candidate for Ward 1 councilman in Eunice.
His announcement includes the following.
“I am a lifelong resident of Eunice, with the exception of time spent away while serving for 20 years in the United States Army.
“I am married to Shirley Richard Miller. We are members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. We have six children and 10 grandchildren.
“I am a retired Army master sergeant and a veteran of both Vietnam and Korea wars. For my service to our country, I have received the Army Meritorious Service Medal and the Bronze Star Medal, as well as various other medals and decorations.
In addition to my military service, I have served locally on the Police and Fireman Civil Service Board, as well as serving as a member of the Eunice City Council for Ward 1 and serving as Mayor Pro-Temp. I am also a former business owner and a member of several local organizations, including the American Legion Post 0129, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8971, the Harmony Lodge 410 & AM, and the Association of the United States Army.”
