The St. Landry Parish adjusted the school calendar to make up days lost due to weather.
Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said seven days were lost to winter weather that included snow and ice conditions.
The St. Landry Parish School Board approved the following:
Wednesday will be a full day of school. Previously it was Mardi Gras holiday.
March 16 will become a regular day. It was a professional development and parent teacher conference day)
May 18 and 21 will become full days. Previously they were scheduled as half days.
High school seniors’ last day will be change from May 9 to May 10.
In the 2018-’19 school calendar, the first day for students is Aug. 9 and the final day is May 22, 2019. Holiday weeks are Nov. 19 to 23; Dec. 20 to Jan. 4; March 4 to 6; and April 15 to 22.
