Sewer line washout

A portion of the parking lot at the Amy Shopping Center washed out due to a sewer line collapse on Tuesday. Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said the city will repair the sewer line, but is still looking into who is responsible for the pavement. A rear corner of a truck bottomed out in the hole, but there were no injuries. In August, West Maple Avenue between 4th and 5th streets was closed when a sewer line washed out.
