As the summer heat started returning in the past few weeks, construction continued on two splash pads in Eunice. One site is behind Central Middle School and the second pad is near the tennis courts at the Fairground Park. Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said the splash pads may be ready by mid-June. Fontenot had expected them to be completed by the end of May or first June, but said there were delays in obtaining some of the fixtures. (Photos by Harlan Kirgan)
