Aerial Spraying in St. Landry Parish Scheduled to Reduce Mosquito Numbers

St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard has scheduled an aerial spray operation this week for all areas within St. Landry in order to help reduce the number of mosquitoes resulting from the flooding caused by Hurricanes Ida and Nicholas. The aerial application will begin Sept.

Velma Sattler Rougeau passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 83. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Clinton Sensat officiant. Burial will follow in St. Thomas More Cemetery.

Ryan Paul Perron, age 45, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly September 15, 2021 in Wisconsin. Ryan was born February 29, 1976 in Mamou, Louisiana. He graduated from Mamou High School. Ryan was a truck driver all of his life.
